Top-toberfest: Crocheted Lace Embellished Top

Source: modcloth.com via Tricia on Pinterest

I love all of the lace embellished tops that I've seen around lately.  Lace is so feminine, and dresses up any outfit.  I picked up a plain tank that was on clearance at Wal-mart, and purchased some crocheted lace at a little local gem of a fabric store.  The lace was only a dollar a yard! While I'm not one to sport a tank on its own, I love to layer them under cardigans or over a longer sleeved shirt.

Want to embellish your own tee or tank?  You can find the full tutorial below.

Versions 1.0 and 2.0- New Baby Sibling Shirts Template and Tutorial

Having just added another child to our family, I felt that it would only be appropriate to share some sibling shirts that I made for the boys. Waiting for any baby to arrive you wonder what they will be like.  Having a son already caused us to wonder if he'd be like Clark, or be cut from a completely different cookie cutter. Hence the version 1.0 and 2.0. Don't worry we still love our version 1.0, and 2.0 is just as lovable.

Using a basic tee, a onesie, some pattern tracing paper, and some dimensional fabric paint, I created these simple but fun tops.
