A Few Things

So I feel like I can finally take a short breath.  I finished up my second craft fair, and now it's back to reality, and onto holiday preparations. (I'll share more about the craft fair later). Here are just a few little things that have been going on.

1-I got a new phone.  A smart phone to be exact.  Many of you are probably wondering how in the world I managed to live without one, but I did.  I actually upgraded to a smart phone when our contracts were up, simply so that I could accept credit cards at the craft fair.  I ended up getting the Samsung Galaxy SIII, and love it.

2-Along with my smart phone came the wonderful world of apps.  My husband laughed when the first app I installed was Instagram.  What can I say, I've been greatly influenced by all my blogging buddies.  Anyway, should you want to follow me, just look for @leafytreetop, that's me.

3-I also decided that I should give in and create a Leafy Treetop Facebook page.  I really resisted this one.  I feel like I have so many things to manage, and update, and I just didn't want to add one more thing to my plate.  However, sometimes I want feedback, or want to share things sewing related.  I figured that a page would allow me to do that without annoying all of my less crafty facebook friends.  So, feel free to "Like" my page if you want.

4-I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping.  Just a few more things for my husband, he's always the hardest for me to shop for. Most of the shopping that I've done has been done on daily deal websites.  Zulily, No More Rack, and Pick Your Plum have received plenty of business from me.

I also hope to make my boys a couple of things.  A quiet book is on the list for Miles, but we'll see if I can squeeze it in.  Any new QB pages you'd like to see?  Clark asked me the other day to make him something for Christmas.  I asked him what he'd like, he told me he didn't know, but that I knew what he'd like.  I'm so happy that he trusts me, and that he'd want a homemade gift. Are you planning on handmade Christmas gifts?  What gifts will you be making?

5-My sewing machine broke down one week before the craft fair.  I was a little disappointed because I had more things that I'd wanted to finish up.  Luckily, I found a great repairman.  He's retired and works out of his garage.  He was able to get my machine serviced and working in just a few days.  He was super reasonable too.  If you're in the Idaho Falls area and looking for a repairman, Harold Hebdon is your guy.  Email me for contact info.

Anyway, Hopefully I'll be able to get back into the swing of sewing things, but until then, I'll pop back in with more craft fair details. Thanks for reading.
