I've loved the recent trend of whale themed baby and children's fabric and clothing. I couldn't resist making a little whale sleep gown for baby boy number two.
The applique is my own design, and the sleeping gown was created by using an existing article of clothing as a guide. I don't know why it is, but I can never seem to get the envelope neckline to properly line up, even with the help of Dana's tutorial.
So despite the fact that this little gown has kind of a goofy neckline, I think that our little boy will be nice and comfortable while he sleeps (or stays up all night screaming).
I know that not everyone is sold on the idea of gowns for their little guys, but I found them to be extremely nice when you have to change diapers in the middle of the night. I love them.

Oh sheesh. So so cute!
So cute! I, personally, love the gowns. Once they are sleeping through the night and more mobile the gowns lose their appeal, but when they are up every 2 hours (or just never sleep!) saving that precious time and energy accessing the diaper is so important!
Adorable! I love your little polka dot whale. Perfect for a little guy.
