Our Little Vacation

Waiting for a show at Sea World, San Antonio.

So a week and a half ago we got back from our spring vacation.  We had a wonderful time visiting San Antonio.  We spent lots of time enjoying tacos, Sea World, The River Walk, The Alamo, Corpus Christi, and most importantly some sunshine.

In my opinion, April is the best time to visit the San Antonio area.  I lived in San Antonio and Austin for about 18 months, and enjoyed my time there, but the summer heat can be a beast.  April brought with it high eighties, and mid ninety degree temperatures.

We spent a day at North Padre Island beach.  It was our first time at the gulf of Mexico.  The water and sand were lovely, but they didn't treat us too kindly.  My husband got quite the sunburn, we got a speeding ticket on our way back to San Antonio, and now we're afraid that Clark may have picked up a parasite while we were there, but the sun and sand were a treat.

While we were in San Antonio, we had to visit the Alamo.

We also visited our share of parks on the trip.  Clark got to take a train ride when we visited Zilker Park in Austin.  I really think that it was the highlight of the trip for him.

It was wonderful to see some flowers, green grass, and leafs on the trees.

We also made a couple of visits to the River Walk.                                                                                        It was lovely, and the honeysuckle made it smell divine.

San Antonio, I miss you already.  Thanks for letting us stay and play.

I actually have quite a few new projects waiting to be photographed and blogged.  I just spent the day with a boy at the Doctor's office, so the photo shoot will have to wait till tomorrow.

What a fun trip! We are headed to the San Antonio area, too... but not until June. It will be hot but hopefully the fun will outweigh the sweat!
