Shoe Makeover: A Lil' Bit of Stitching

I have another shoe re-do for you today.  Today's shoe makeover isn't nearly as dramatic as yesterday-no paint or glitter on this one.  I've had these black wal-mart loafers for a couple of months.  I picked them up on clearance, but every time I put them on I feel like I'm wearing slippers.  I think it is because I own a pair of slippers that are black on black.

To add a bit of color to the shoes, I did some simple stitching with embroidery thread along the top of the toe, the toe seam, along the back of the heal.

Close up of the stitching on the back of the heel.

I alternated colors, on each shoe, so they aren't identical. I also added some (non-matching) yellow buttons.

They aren't shoes that I'll wear everyday, but they are shoes that I will wear SOME days, which is more than I was doing before.  I think that they are kind of fun to pair with t-shirt and jeans (let's just pretend like that's not what I wear EVERYDAY).

Hello Tricia

I'm a new follower.

Amazing shoes and the makeover looks so simple but leaves a very attractive finish to them.
I also liked the felt magnets and the picture frame...oh the picture frame that's brill.
