Having just added another child to our family, I felt that it would only be appropriate to share some sibling shirts that I made for the boys. Waiting for any baby to arrive you wonder what they will be like. Having a son already caused us to wonder if he'd be like Clark, or be cut from a completely different cookie cutter. Hence the version 1.0 and 2.0. Don't worry we still love our version 1.0, and 2.0 is just as lovable.
You can find the version 1.0 and 2.0 template here.
This transfer paper was picked up at a thrift store for a quarter. I used it to transfer the text to the t-shirts.
Place the tracing paper color side down on the top, and using a stylus or ball point pen press down to transfer the image.
Try to use a color of transfer material that will be visible, but isn't high contrast with your shirt or paint. The transfer color may bleed slightly into your paint.
Using an up and down motion apply small dots of paint to the transferred markings. You may want to practice your technique on a scrap piece of material to get the hang of it.
Allow it to dry according to the directions on the paint bottle. I believe that mine had to sit for 24 hours before being worn, and couldn't be washed for 72 hours.
Sit back and enjoy your handiwork, both the tops and your babes.
