In The Shop: Super Hero Cape PDF Pattern

After making fifteen capes for family members, I decided that maybe some of the rest of the world might be interested in making capes for their favorite little superheroes. So, the Super Hero Cape pattern was born.  This is a print at home PDF pattern that is now available for purchase-Wahoo!

The pdf pattern includes pattern pieces, detailed photo tutorial, four generic superhero logos (butterfly, flower, radioactive, and stars), also included with the pattern are two separate CTR shield designs, and as a bonus,  26 initial emblem templates-to really customize your super hero cape.

The superhero cape pattern comes in 4 different sizes (XS, S, M, and L).  Each of the four sizes can be made with a yard or less of fabric.    There is also an elastic neckband for easy on and easy off, after all, the speed of wardrobe change is key to any superhero's success.

Capes can easily be made reversible by appliqueing emblems to both the front and back of the cape.

Super hero capes are great gifts for birthdays and holidays, not to mention the perfect addition to any dress up closet.

Customize your capes by using the recipients favorite colors.

This sewing project is great for any skill level.  Intermediate and advanced crafters will work their way through this project in no time.  As I was gathering photos today, Clark asked for another cape.  We had one completed within a couple of hours, and that included plenty of laundry, feeding, and diaper duty interruptions.
